Safari & Beach
All Season
This 10 day Kenyan safari and beach holiday in Kenya is great for a beach and bush vacation. It is, in fact, tailor-made for this particular mix of activities. Safari alternatives are detailed elsewhere on this page, but we would recommend a safari of 6 or 7 days, ideally split between two or three large reserves and interspersed with overnight stays at nairobi and Masai Mara National Reserve. After that, spend atleast 3 days at a beach resort like Diani, Malindi, or Watamu near Mombasa City.
Upon arrival in Nairobi, you will be met by your driver guide who will be waiting for you at the arrival lounge with a paging board bearing your name. If you wish to change some money into the local currency, we advise you do it at the Airport bureaus before you arrive at the immigration desk. It is advisable to change Euros into Kenya shillings and use the USD for Visa payments. Overnight at Tamarind Tree hotel on bed and breakfast.
After the breakfast and briefing by your safari guide, at around 9:00am, we depart for Karen Blixen Museum which was once the center piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen. We will then head to Giraffe Center an elevated treetop aerie where you will have a chance to hand feed the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Then we proceed to Daphne Sheldrick elephant orphanage which is located on a plot inside Nairobi National Park. The orphaned animals at Sheldrick animal orphanage are given 24 hours care by their keepers who became their replacement family.
